perefect10a9 150x150 Why Not Being Perfect is the Perfect ChoiceAre you a real perfectionist ? Do you always want to be ahead of competition and try to make everything perfect ? If this is the case, i would really invite you to rethink of your priorities.

It is certainly quite important tha you get obsessed with your website and find ways to make it better and better. However, some webmasters tend to give lots of their efforts on trivial matters. Making that left navigation panel have circular edges or stylize it even better is find, but why is it really any good if you don’t have enough visitors?

Do Not Be Perfect

Trying to be perfect on your website can only hurt you. For starters, you could be losing time that should be used for marketing instead of making subtle changes.  Getting your priorities right is a very important challenge. You should not be carried away and spot the things that matter.

People do not like others being perfect because perfection is boring. If everything is great on your website your readers could quite easily be bored before you know it. What’s even worse, you will find yourself in a situation that you do everything right but nothing works.

Perfect is most times not interesting. You’re looking to make people interested in your niche and not show them that you’re perfect. It’s fine to present yourself as an authority sometimes, but do not overdo it.

Change Subtle Things When Nothing Else is a Priority

There will be times that you need to make those small changes that make your website look better. However, it’s essential that you choose the right momentum. Only after you establish your traffic base, marketize a lot and generally start getting some success, should you go about making such changes.

Your time matters the most for you and information matters the most to your visitors. If you present the best information to your visitors, they will not care less if your top menu is a bit disoriented. You will be creating content that matters more to them and your time will also be well spent.

Therefore, if you happen to be a perfectionist, reevaluate. It’s not at all bad to change your stance. On the contrary, it shows the courage to evolve, which is essential for success. Early decisions is what brings earlier happiness.

  1. Spyros,

I totally agree with you, the person who pursue for the perfect things to achieve should also focused to be perfect in advertising his perfect work. Allocate even time time for both activities but if you think that one activity is needed most at the moment, priority must be give to the important one.
