Many of you have definately heard about them. They are those type of blogs that collect content from other websites, mainly through RSS Feeds and auto update themselves. A great idea to create a blog and avoid the process of manually updating it ? To be sincere, it’s really far from it..
In fact these are called garbage websites and it’s indeed what they are. They reblog other people’s content in hopes of attracting visitors and gain some adsense revenue. However, google and other search engines are aware of that fact and have taken action that you would really want to know about before attempting to create such an automated blog.
Whatever your niche is, there is absolutely no way you can seriously monetize such a website and the reason lies in the famous duplicate content rule. Well known search engines like google, punish those who publish duplicate content. Their way of punishment is to exclude their websites from their lists and not page rank them at all. Therefore, automated blogs that retrieve content from others will never get decent search engine placement. The latter means that they will never manage to get respectable traffic and therefore earn good money.
So, if you see lots of websites offering automated blog software and such, avoid them like hell. As with 99% of the online products where people offer money making techniques, they are scammers too. Instead, be serious about webmastering and create genuine content. Not only will you get better search engine placement this way but also be more trustworthy and develop credibility. Imagine that you visit a website where content seems to be very well placed, providing useful information. It would be very easy to spot whether the content there is genuine or not. Automated niche blogs stand out mainly because their posts are very not related to each other and really give the idea that someone is copying them from others. Moreover, if the visitors discover that you’re copying the information from a website, they will go and visit that website and not come back to you.
It’s vital to understand that making money online with your websites will need lots of work from your side. Nothing can be really created automatically and if it is, it won’t last for long. Try to take small and steady steps while being original and listening to your visitors needs. It would be great if we could put everything on autopilot, but nothing can be done without putting time and effort to it. Exclude these automated ideas from your mind and work on your own site with passion and commitment and the success will come in its time.
